Much is there to be said about Chapters I & II; With A six year gap between production, that can bring with it a massive difference. At 17 years old, I set out to create what would later become the first chapter in an ever-growing saga of recorded material. 2016-2017 were wild times for modern music. Guitar was making a resurgence and trap music was at this time starting to find itself blending in with American Football and Joy Division. At this same time, the 808's became distorted resembling an electric guitar stab! Flash forward to 2023 and genre blending had only became more chaotic and inspired. An attempt was made to articulate this same energy of exciting new sounds, while remaining faithful as a follow-up to the original material, hence Chapter II or CH:II was born.
Songs like "Two" which represent a full-circle return to form (as the riff from Chapter I's Absinthe was repurposed for this track) or songs like "Blown Out" which represents the "Strawberry Blonde" aura of the first record, while implimenting a mondern schizofrenia into the mix. The Track "YPPS -270" was actually intended to be the first track on the record (Hence the "first" in parentheses, lol) and was actually created using samples from the intrument of the same name, The Yamaha Portasound - 270. BANGER!
